Work in Education
Dawn Chorus © - An installation of 70 paper bird cages and 100 origami birds which were suspended within a pitch-black chapel interior; illuminated only with ultraviolet light and sounds from the dawn chorus. The installation was constructed with the help of several pupils from Bryanston School and acted as a catalyst to discuss issues relating to the notion of freedom and confinement with groups of pupils.
Tubular Forest © - A large-scale installation created by suspending 90 metres of tumble drier tubes in St. Anthony's Chapel, Dorset. The tubes were illuminated by transitional lighting and designed to be walked amongst. Apart from the experiential aspect of this installation, it stimulated discussions about growth, decay and environmental issues.
Spring Time ©
The installation Spring Time was a collaboration between myself and Monica Sinclair-Smith, and constructed with the help of several pupils from Bryanston school, Dorset.
